안녕하세요, 출판편집자 김리슨이라고 합니다.

음악은 형상이고 소리는 물질이라는 점을 종종 떠올립니다. 눈에 보이고 손에 잡힐 듯한 소리의 신비로움에 대해서도요. 그러한 물성은 추상 음악이나 실험 음악뿐 아니라 우리가 일상적으로 듣는 대중음악이나 클럽 음악에서도 느낄 수 있지요. 소리의 모양, 질감, 색깔, 온도 같은 것들 말예요.

캐치하고 감각적인 트랙 위주로 플레이리스트를 짜면서 문득 궁금해진 건, 제가 좋아하는 이 곡들이 저마다의 물성을 띤 채 틸트라는 공간 속을 어떻게 날갯짓하며 배회할지였습니다. 물방울처럼 맑고 찰랑이는 소리와, 도깨비같이 웃기고 기이한 소리와, 우주처럼 깊고 오묘한 소리를 두루 느껴볼 수 있길 기대하면서요.

소프트웨어가 빚어낸 신스 사운드부터 인간만이 지닌 독특한 목소리까지, 아름다운 음악과 다채로운 소리의 세계를 함께 탐험해 보는 시간이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.

Hello, my name is Leeson Kim, and I'm a publishing editor.

I often think about music as a form and sound as matter, and the mystery of sound that feels almost visible and tangible. This "materiality" can be felt not only in abstract or experimental music but also in the pop and club music we listen to every day. Things like the shape, texture, color, and temperature of sound.

While curating a playlist of catchy and sensuous tracks, I suddenly became curious about how these songs I love, each with its own unique materiality, would flutter and roam within the space of "Tilt." I was hoping to experience a wide range of sounds: clear and shimmering like raindrops, funny and bizarre like goblins, and deep and mysterious like the universe.

I hope this will be a time for us to explore the beautiful world of music and diverse sounds together, from synth sounds created by software to the unique human voice.
