Damirat - Legdow [2019]
서울을 기반으로 활동하는 전자음악 듀오 다미라트(Damirat, 신성훈, 김창희)는 소리의 생성과 소멸, 그리고 그 과정에서 드러나는 비결정적 구조를 탐구합니다. 전통적 작곡법 대신 시간의 흐름과 우연성을 포착하며, 최소한의 요소로도 깊은 몰입을 설계합니다.
다미라트의 ‘legdow’는 이러한 개념의 정수를 보여주며, 선형적 시간의 질서를 벗어나 다층적이고 동시적인 사운드를 구축합니다.
이 작업은 음악을 완성된 결과물이 아니라 끊임없이 생성되는 과정으로 제시하며, 청취 행위를 능동적인 탐색의 장으로 확장합니다.
The Seoul-based electronic music duo Damirat, comprised of Shin Sung-hoon and Kim Chang-hee, explores the generation and dissipation of sound, as well as the indeterminate structures that emerge in the process. Moving away from traditional composition, they capture the flow of time and serendipity, designing deep immersion with minimal elements.
Damirat's "legdow" exemplifies the essence of this concept, creating multi-layered and simultaneous sounds that transcend the order of linear time.
This work presents music not as a finished product, but as a continuously evolving process, expanding the act of listening into a field of active exploration.
