호주 멜버른을 기반으로 활동하는 작곡가이자 사운드 아티스트 리사 레르켄펠트(Lisa Lerkenfeldt)는, ‘듣기’의 조건 자체를 예술의 중심에 둡니다. 그녀에게 청취란 세계를 재배치하고 일상의 표면 아래에 잠재된 감각의 지형을 드러내는 사유적 실천입니다.

— Hidden Resonance, the Most Delicate Vibration of Sensation
Based in Melbourne, Australia, composer and sound artist Lisa Lerkenfeldt places the very condition of 'listening' at the center of her art. For her, listening is a contemplative practice that rearranges the world and reveals the sensory topography latent beneath the surface of everyday life.
Her work drifts between the everyday and technology, materiality and intervention—using analog tape, peachwood combs, string instruments, piano, and feedback—to construct a new sonic order in the fissures of sensation.
Her official debut album, Collagen, is the result of this aesthetic converging in its most refined form. Physically edited tape loops, repetition and reconstruction, and the traces of sound derived from everyday gestures become a kind of musical score, and the music functions not as a narrative structure but as an afterimage lingering on a surface.
This album intentionally avoids firm formats or clear progressions. The listener is invited to dwell within the fragments of deconstructed sensation, attuning to the texture of minutely trembling sounds and the silent gaps that fill the space between them.
This is a listening for a "hidden resonance" that emanates from things not explicitly heard, and a quiet proposal to reconfigure the conditions of non-visual sensation.
