안녕하세요. 틸트의 애청자 김준식입니다.

저는 종종 여행하듯 한강을 찾아 하루를 보내곤 합니다. 특별한 일정이 있는 건 아닙니다. 그저 낮술로 적당히 취기가 오른 채 무작정 신나게 걷다가 다리도 건너보고, 지치면 벤치에 앉아 쉬면서 시간에 따라 변해가는 한강의 다양한 모습들을 천천히, 음악과 함께 감상하는 것이 전부입니다.

내리쬐는 햇볕 아래 윤슬처럼 반짝이던 들뜬 감정은 물과 바람에 쓸려 부드럽게 오르내리다 지는 해와 함께 서서히 잔잔해집니다. 그 뒤에 남는 것은 도시의 차가운 그림자와 쓸쓸함입니다.

이 플레이리스트는 그런 감정의 파동과 결이 맞는 음악들로 구성되었습니다. 조용하고 은근하게 스며드는 소리들, 말하자면 구름처럼 부드럽고 포근한 음악들입니다. 저는 그런 소리들을 좋아합니다.

스며드는 음악은 사운드스케이프의 일부가 되어 풍경과 서로 공명합니다. 음악은 우리가 마주한 장면들을 더 섬세하고 깊이 있게 감각하도록 도와주고, 반대로 풍경 역시 음악의 울림을 더 풍부하게 만들어줍니다. 익숙함과 하찮음에 스쳐 지나던 많은 것들이 낯설고 소중하게 감각되기 시작합니다.

결국 우리가 하는 건 단순한 소리의 청취가 아니라 그 순간의 모든 감각과 감정을 음악과 함께 공감각적으로 체험하는 일이라고 생각합니다. 그러니까, 같은 음악도 체험의 형식 - 누구와, 언제, 어디서, 어떻게 - 에 따라 매번 새로운 음악으로 감각될 수 있는 것이겠지요. 이는 제가 틸트라는 공간을 애정하고 자주 찾는 개인적인 이유이기도 합니다.

모두에게 익숙할 한강의 장면들을 각자의 방식으로 떠올리며 들어보셨으면 좋을 것 같습니다. 사실 한강이 아닌 다른 무엇이어도 상관없어요. 그리고 상상 속의 그 풍경이 음악과 조용히 공명하길 바랍니다.

Hello. This is Junsik Kim, a devoted listener of Tilt.

 

I often spend the day at the Han River, as if I'm traveling. There's no special itinerary. I just walk around excitedly, pleasantly buzzed from some daytime drinking, cross a bridge, and when I get tired, I sit on a bench and rest. I simply enjoy the various faces of the Han River as they change with time, all accompanied by music.

 

The excited emotions that sparkled like the sun's reflection on the water are swept away by the river and the wind, gently rising and falling before gradually calming with the setting sun. What remains is the cold shadow of the city and a sense of solitude.

 

This playlist is composed of music that matches the texture and wave of such emotions. They are quiet and subtle sounds that seep in, music that is as soft and cozy as a cloud, so to speak. I like those kinds of sounds.

Music that seeps in becomes part of the soundscape, resonating with the scenery. Music helps us to sense the scenes we encounter more delicately and deeply, and conversely, the scenery enriches the resonance of the music. Many things that used to pass by as familiar and insignificant begin to feel unfamiliar and precious.

 

In the end, I believe that what we are doing is not simply listening to sounds, but synesthetically experiencing all the sensations and emotions of that moment along with the music. In other words, the same music can be perceived as new each time depending on the form of the experience - with whom, when, where, and how. This is also my personal reason for loving and frequently visiting the space called Tilt.

 

I hope you'll listen to this while picturing the familiar scenes of the Han River in your own way. In fact, it doesn't have to be the Han River. And I hope that the scenery in your imagination will quietly resonate with the music.
