Drift Mode :

Simulacral Feedback

Drift Mode

An era where the boundary between the original and the copy has vanished.
Samples that circulate without a source, emotions that function like code.
Familiar yet alien melodies; rhythms layered one upon another, stripped of meaning.

We sometimes call this hollow fullness “immersion,”
or experience it as an uncanny sense of unease.

However, this is no longer music that mimics reality.
Perhaps what we're responding to isn't the music at all,
but the endlessly repeating sensory signals themselves.

This is the very point where Drift Mode begins.
Within a sonic structure woven from repetition and reference,
we attempt to reset the orientation of our senses.

This circuit of repetition is most vividly amplified in the corporeal space of the “club.”
The sound of Deconstructed Club, in particular,
is no longer functional for dancing; it takes aim at our sensory system itself.

This is not contemplation; it is an interface.

A point where the line between pleasure and displeasure dissolves.

The feeling that you can’t tell what’s wrong,
but that something is undeniably at work within you.

This is the operating principle of sound itself,
merely borrowing the form of music.

Emotion, identity, even interpretation
no longer point to anything “real.”
Everything is just a chain of simulacra—copies without an original.
It is within these fragmented signals that we encounter ourselves.

In the space where reality has faded,
a sonic topography is drawn upon the ruins.
It is on this map that Drift Mode
opens your senses anew.
